I have salt pellets with rust remover put in my water softener every month. Can salt cause hair loss?

Can the rust remover cause hair to thin? A professional checks the levels so they should be OK. But in general can these chemicals cause hair thining?

Even your scalp sweat, which is saltish, cause removing of the hair to some extent. Whether chemicals cause thinning or not but they definitely harm the balance of natural chemicals of your body, which you can notice only after a long time. Till then the harm would have done with no scope of recovery.
